We are excited to announce that Alcott Elementary and the Alcott PTSA have partnered with the YMCA to bring before and after school programming to our school for kindergarten through 5th grade for the 2018/19 school year and beyond!

You can extend your student’s day, with enriching activities focused on physical activity, art, music, academics and design. The YMCA offers a variety of classes with physical activity, creativity, academics and more. The YMCA will also partner with four additional enrichment program vendors to offer specialized classes in art, coding and chess. You can create a schedule that works for your family and select a class your student will enjoy. After school programs take place at Alcott Monday – Friday and before school programs take place at Ella Baker Elementary with transport to Alcott by 9:20 a.m.

Registration is open for both 2018-19 YMCA Kids University Before and After School programs and all vendor classes.

Enrichment Pass: If you need enrichment five days a week from after school until 6 p.m., this is the plan for you. For a monthly fee, you can send your child to Kids University every day and choose different classes each of our five sessions. Sessions last about 7-9 weeks and have tons of great classes to choose from. Sign up once and you are good to go for the whole school year! Each session you will receive an email with class options for you to choose.

By Class: Open for Registration!

If you don’t need your child to attend Kids U every day, but just want a few enrichment classes, this is best option for your family.  Classes are offered in one hour slots and you only attend the classes you choose to attend.  You will register for the session and choose if you want to go for one hour per week, three full days, or any combination that works with your family’s schedule.  Your family will re-register each session, so if your needs change that is no problem. Please take a moment to review program offerings here.

No School Days: Opens online and paper registration over the summer.

Need your child to be engaged and having fun when school is closed?  The Y has you covered. Programming is available for Kindergaten-5th grade from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on days school is closed (please see schedule for specific days program runs).  Drop your child off at one of the YMCA’s “No School Day” locations.
