Alcott families are cordially invited to International Cultural Night on March 21st, 6 PM to 8 PM.

ICN is a chance for our Alcott community to share traditions and cultural diversity. Come and check out displays, crafts, and activities from around the world!

There are three main ways you can participate in bringing our community together; representing a country, participating in the cultural showcase, or hosting a craft at our craft table.

Representing a Country includes students working with their families to create a trifold displaying information about their representative country or culture. Some examples might be: name of the country, capital, flag, language, location on the map, traditions, typical food and clothing, holidays and festivals, popular sports, cultural facts, etc. You can also bring decorations, books, arts, or something else from the country. Wearing traditional clothing is encouraged. Sorry, no food allowed.

The Cultural Showcase provides an opportunity for participants to share a traditional dance, song, poem, etc. with our community from their culture or country.

We will also have a Craft Area where students and families can share a traditional craft from their country of choice. This could be things such as teaching kids to make origami, dream catchers, etc.

If you have any questions, please contact Candela Stranges at candela_stranges@hotmail.com

This is a great way to get to know our community!

We hope to see you with your family there helping us to celebrate our school extraordinary cultural diversity!
